The Virginia High Bearcats basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Marion Scarlet Hurricanes to 37 in the Bearcats league triumph on Saturday.

The Bearcats now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tennessee for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 6. Virginia High will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-45 non-league loss to Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN). The Vikings record now stands at 3-6.

The Scarlet Hurricanes (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Rural Retreat triumphed over Northwood (Saltville, VA), 49-37, in a league contest.
