South Carolina High School Basketball - Colleton County can't hold off Hampton County

The Hampton County Hurricanes basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Colleton County Cougars to 40 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hilton Head Island for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Hampton County will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 43-37 non-league loss to Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA). The Seahawks record now stands at 2-3.
The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Fort Dorchester nudged Stratford (Goose Creek, SC), 54-38, in a non-league contest.
