The South Plaquemines Hurricanes basketball team (Buras, LA), was overwhelmed 70-24 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA)

The Spartans now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salmen for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 5. Phoenix will confront a Spartans team coming off a 51-42 non-league win over Hahnville (Boutte, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.

The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Independence, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record.
