The Ooltewah Owls basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Hixson Wildcats to 26 in the Owls non-league triumph on Monday.

The Owls now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sweetwater for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. Ooltewah will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Loudon (Loudon, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Hixson falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN) to confront the Eagles in a 3A District 6 game on Tuesday, December 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 2-1. Signal Mountain lost 67-59 in their recent non-league game against Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA)
