In Tuesday's league contest, the host Austin-East Roadrunners basketball team scored a good 71-55 triumph over the Cocke County Fighting Cocks.
The Roadrunners (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Dobyns-Bennett was toppled by Greenforest (Decatur, GA), 62-55, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fighting Cocks confront the Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN) in a 3A District 3 contest, on Friday, December 5. Cocke County will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Green Hornets go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 68-58 non-league loss to Hardin Valley Academy (Knoxville, TN).
