In Tuesday's league challenge, the Pinon Eagles (Pinon, AZ) basketball team tipped the host Hopi Bruins (Keams Canyon, AZ), by a score of 41-40.
The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley (Sanders, AZ). The Pirates come into the 2A North battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Valley tipped St. Michael (St. Michaels, AZ), 70-34, in a non-league battle.
The Bruins now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tuba City for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 4. Hopi will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 60-30 non-league win over Show Low (Show Low, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
