Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH), 70-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Alexander upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Unioto (Chillicothe, OH) to clash with the Shermans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Shermans go into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Oak Hill Oaks (Oak Hill, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Oaks go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 53-37 league loss to Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH).
