Bishop Stang Spartans (North Dartmouth, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Arlington Catholic Cougars (Arlington, MA), 81-71 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop Stang upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Archbishop Williams (Braintree, MA) to play the Bishops in a Catholic Central - Large bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bishops come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Archbishop Williams won 70-40 in their recent league bout against Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Boston Latin Academy Dragons (Dorchester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Arlington Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 71-66 non-league win over Tech Boston Academy/Academy of Public Service (Dorchester, MA).
