Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), 72-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northeastern Clinton upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars host Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY) to play the Red Storm in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Thursday, January 5. The Red Storm go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Patriots play the Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Tuesday, January 3. AuSable Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
