Azusa Aztecs (Azusa, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Gladstone Gladiators (Covina, CA), 39-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Azusa upgrades its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park, CA) to play the Dons in a Montview bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Dons come into the bout with a record of 11-3.

Next up, the Gladiators play the Workman Lobos (City of Industry, CA) in a Montview bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Gladstone will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
