Benjamin Mustangs (Benjamin, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Harrold Hornets (Harrold, TX), 110-82 in a league bout.

With the victory, Benjamin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Guthrie (Guthrie, TX) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Hornets play the Chillicothe Eagles (Chillicothe, TX) in a 1A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Harrold will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 48-34 non-league loss to Paint Creek (Haskell, TX).
