Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Okoboji Pioneers (Milford, IA) and the host Boyden-Hull Comets (Hull, IA), saw Okoboji's basketball squad hold off Boyden-Hull by a count of 57-54.

With the victory, Okoboji upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Sheldon (Sheldon, IA) to play the Orabs in a Siouxland challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Orabs come into the challenge with a record of 0-9.

The Comets (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Dutchmen come into the Siouxland battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, MOC-Floyd Valley edged George-Little Rock (George, IA), 78-54, in a league battle.
