In their next game, the Lions face the Allen Eagles (Allen, TX) in a 6A Region I District 5 game, on Tuesday, January 3. McKinney will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record.

With the defeat, Braswell moves to 11-8 on the year. The Bengals travel to Sachse (Sachse, TX) to encounter the Mustangs in a non-league test on Wednesday, December 28. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 13-3. Sachse won 62-44 in their recent league test against South Garland (Garland, TX)
