River Pilots (Hannibal, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH), 59-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, River upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Pilots host Frontier (New Matamoras, OH) to play the Cougars in a Ohio Valley AA bout on Thursday, December 22. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Panthers play the Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH) in a Buckeye 8 bout, on Thursday, December 22. Buckeye Local will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Jets go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 52-36 non-league win over Buckeye Trail (Lore City, OH).
