Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 86-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Brook upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Spartans host Haleyville (Haleyville, AL) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Haleyville won 64-50 in their recent non-league bout against Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Calera will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record.
