The El Campo Ricebirds basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Columbia Roughnecks to 64 in the Ricebirds non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Ricebirds now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hempstead for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. El Campo will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 74-56 league win over Harmony School of Discovery (Houston, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-9.
The Roughnecks (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Angleton prevailed over Foster (Richmond, TX), 65-61, in a non-league contest.
