First Colonial Patriots (Virginia Beach, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA), 48-43 in a league bout.

With the win, First Colonial upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Deep Creek won 69-37 in their recent league bout against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Sundevils play the Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 70-44 league win over Granby (Norfolk, VA).
