Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ridgeview Wolfpack (Clintwood, VA), 61-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gate City upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Christ School (Arden, NC) to play the Greenies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Greenies come into the bout with a record of 14-0. Christ School won 68-66 in their recent non-league bout against Lovett (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Wolfpack play the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 26. Ridgeview will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
