    The North Gaston Wildcats basketball team (Dallas, NC), was nudged 63-58 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC)

    The Mountaineers now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 21. Kings Mountain will confront a Golden Lions team coming off a 61-54 non-league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 1-2.

    The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central was nudged by Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 45-23, in a non-league battle.
