Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 67-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lovejoy upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Leopards host Leander (Leander, TX) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Leander lost 66-54 in their recent league bout against Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
