Mormon Trail Saints (Garden Grove, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA), 54-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Mormon Trail upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Saints travel to Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA) to play the Eagles in a Bluegrass bout on Friday, January 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Melcher-Dallas Saints (Melcher, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Murray will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 46-44 league win over Seymour (Seymour, IA).
