Illinois High School Basketball - Morris can't hold off Sycamore

The Sycamore Spartans basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Morris Redskins to 36 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockford Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Sycamore will battle a Royal Lions team coming off a 82-42 league win over North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL). The Royal Lions record now stands at 11-0.

Next up, the Redskins play the Marmion Cadets (Aurora, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Morris will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Cadets go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 70-42 non-league win over Marquette (Ottawa, IL).
