Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA), 67-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Vanguards host Kennett (Kennett Square, PA) to play the Blue Demons in a Ches-Mont - American bout on Thursday, December 22. The Blue Demons come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Kennett lost 55-23 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Shanahan (Downingtown, PA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Linville Hill (Paradise, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
