Colorado High School Basketball - Merino topples Akron

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Merino Rams (Merino, CO) basketball squad beat the visiting Akron Rams (Akron, CO), by a margin of 46-36.

The Rams (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Wray (Wray, CO). The Eagles go into the 3A/2A Lower Platte outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Wray was beaten by Chase County (Imperial, NE), 61-39, in a non-league outing.

The Rams now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Sedgwick County for a 3A/2A Lower Platte outing on Friday, January 6. Akron will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 57-44 non-league loss to Akron (Akron, CO). The Cougars record now stands at 4-1.
