The Elbert County Blue Devils basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Burke County Bears to 79 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest DeKalb for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21. Elbert County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-43 league loss to Westminster (Atlanta, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-3.

The Bears (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Westside (Augusta, GA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Westside was nudged by Thomson (Thomson, GA), 59-19, in a league contest.
