Hubbard Jaguars (Hubbard, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX), 40-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Hubbard upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Jaguars host Bynum (Bynum, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Bynum lost 48-19 in their recent non-league bout against Johnson County Sports Association (Cleburne, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Marlin Bulldogs (Marlin, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record.
