Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX), 51-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Muleshoe upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Mules travel to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Littlefield won 34-26 in their recent league bout against Lamesa (Lamesa, TX)

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lamesa will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record.
