The Nekoosa Papermakers basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Port Edwards Blackhawks to 27 in the Papermakers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Papermakers now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wittenberg-Birnamwood for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Nekoosa will battle a Chargers team coming off a 71-19 non-league win over Northland Pines (Eagle River, WI). The Chargers record now stands at 9-1.

The Blackhawks (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bowler (Bowler, WI). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Bowler ran past Elcho (Elcho, WI), 35-28, in a non-league contest.
