Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Cabarrus Charter Huskies (Concord, NC), 47-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Queen's Grant upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Stallions travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Piedmont lost 48-47 in their recent non-league bout against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

Next up, the Huskies play the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) in a 1A Conference 38 bout, on Friday, January 6. Cabarrus Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
