Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), 53-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kings Mountain upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Shelby (Shelby, NC) to clash with the Golden Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Shelby lost 47-38 in their recent non-league bout against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. North Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 50-31 non-league loss to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
