Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Chambers (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Chambers lost 57-48 in their recent non-league bout against Hough (Cornelius, NC)

Next up, the Wolf Pack play the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Parkwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
