North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheboro fells Uwharrie Charter

Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC), 81-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Asheboro upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Blue Comets host Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Providence Grove lost 60-45 in their recent league bout against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont bout, on Friday, January 5. Uwharrie Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
