La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM), 68-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Cueva upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Bears travel to Silver (Silver City, NM) to clash with the Fighting Colts in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Fighting Colts go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Silver lost 55-40 in their recent non-league bout against Clovis (Clovis, NM)

Next up, the Bulldawgs clash with the Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Las Cruces will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 66-61 non-league win over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM).
