With the win, Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Bellaire (Bellaire, TX) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Bellaire won 70-38 in their recent league challenge against Westbury (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Pasadena Eagles (Pasadena, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Wheatley will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 58-38 league loss to Deer Park (Deer Park, TX).
