The Pope John XXIII basketball team (Sparta, NJ), was overwhelmed 46-19 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Roxbury Gaels (Succasunna, NJ)
The Gaels now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montville for a non-league battle on Friday, December 22. Roxbury will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 38-34 non-league loss to Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
The (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Olive (Flanders, NJ). The Marauders come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Mount Olive trounced West Windsor-Plainsboro North (Plainsboro, NJ), 68-55, in a non-league battle.
