The Francis Lewis Patriots (Fresh Meadows, NY) basketball crushed the visiting Forest Hills Rangers (Forest Hills, NY), 47-20 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Newtown (Elmhurst, NY). The Pioneers go into the PSAL AAAA Queens I test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Newtown was trounced by Queens Complex (Queens, NY), 40-29, in a league test.

The Rangers now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hillcrest for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 3. Forest Hills will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 51-38 league win over Jamaica (Jamaica, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 4-2.
