Illinois High School Basketball - Morris nips Princeton

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) and the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL), saw Morris's basketball squad hold off Princeton by a count of 47-45.

With the victory, Morris upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Canton (Canton, IL) to confront the Little Giants in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 21. The Little Giants come into the battle with a record of 13-4. Canton won 68-34 in their recent league battle against Pekin (Pekin, IL)

The Tigers (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Joliet Catholic was nudged by Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL), 56-53, in a non-league battle.
