The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) and the visiting Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX), observed Abbott's basketball team overwhelm Aquilla by a margin of 63-25.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Penelope (Penelope, TX). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Penelope was trounced by Neches (Neches, TX), 61-13, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Oglesby Tigers (Oglesby, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Monday, December 30. Aquilla will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record.
