The Anderson County Bulldogs (Garnett, KS) basketball edged the visiting Santa Fe Trail Chargers (Carbondale, KS), 58-51 in Friday's league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fredonia for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Anderson County will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 76-70 non-league win over West Elk (Howard, KS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Santa Fe Trail falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Iola (Iola, KS) to play the Mustangs in a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Iola won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Prairie View (La Cygne, KS)
