The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) and the visiting Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX), observed Birdville's basketball team overwhelm Richland by a margin of 60-37.

The Hawks (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Grapevine (Grapevine, TX). The Mustangs come into the 5A Region I District 6 challenge with a 8-10 record.

In their next game, the Royals battle the Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Richland will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record.
