In Friday's league contest, the visiting Bishop Canevin Crusaders basketball team scored a close 61-59 win over the Washington Prexies.

The Crusaders (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Moon Area edged South Fayette (McDonald, PA), 46-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Prexies battle the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 contest, on Friday, January 3. Washington will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the contest with a 7-0 record after their 77-66 league win over Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA).
