The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) and the visiting Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), observed West Caldwell's basketball team overwhelm Bunker Hill by a score of 80-50.

The Warriors (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, North Buncombe trounced Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 65-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 87-54 league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC).
