The Montabella Mustangs got by the visiting Carson City-Crystal Eagles basketball squad by a final score of 51-48 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) in a non-league outing, on Friday, January 3. Montabella will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.

The Eagles (0-7) will now prepare for their outing against Merrill (Merrill, MI). The Vandals come into the Mid-State outing with a 3-5 record. In their last outing, Merrill was nipped by Coleman (Coleman, MI), 72-63, in a league outing.
