In Friday's league contest, the host Claymont Mustangs basketball team scored a close 43-37 triumph over the Ridgewood Generals.

The Mustangs (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Philadelphia (New Philadelphia, OH). The Quakers go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, New Philadelphia nipped West Holmes (Millersburg, OH), 54-18, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Generals battle the Millersport Lakers (Millersport, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Ridgewood will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Lakers go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 43-30 league loss to Fisher Catholic (Lancaster, OH).
