North Carolina High School Basketball - South Iredell thwarts East Rowan

December 20, 2024: Statesville, NC 28677

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) and the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), observed South Iredell's basketball team knock off East Rowan by a score of 60-47.

The Vikings (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, West Iredell prevailed over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 65-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 3. East Rowan will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 66-24 league loss to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC).
