In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wheeling Wildcats basketball team scored a good 70-56 triumph over the Elk Grove Grenadiers.

The Wildcats (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Glenbrook North topped Maine South (Park Ridge, IL), 55-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Grenadiers battle the Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Elk Grove will attempt to better on its 0-10 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 8-0 record after their 76-42 non-league win over Oswego (Oswego, IL).
