The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA) and the visiting Environmental Charter Hawks (Pittsburgh, PA), observed St. Joseph's basketball team overcome Environmental Charter by a margin of 58-38.

The Spartans (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Golden Beavers go into the non-league bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, Western Beaver fell by South Side (Hookstown, PA), 74-41, in a league bout.

With the loss, Environmental Charter falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Hawks host Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the in a WPIAL 1A 2 bout on Friday, January 3. The go into the bout with a record of 7-0.
