The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC) and the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), observed North Iredell's basketball team overcome Foard by a margin of 70-62.

The Raiders (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, West Cabarrus dropped by Cox Mill (Concord, NC), 72-65, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) in a 3A Western Foothills challenge, on Friday, January 3. Foard will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 65-55 league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC).
