The Izard County Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Mammoth Spring Bears to 36 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Harrison for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Izard County will confront a Goblins team coming off a 63-59 non-league win over North Little Rock (North Little Rock, AR). The Goblins record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Mammoth Spring falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Eminence (Eminence, MO) to confront the Redwings in a non-league game on Friday, December 27. The Redwings go into the game with a record of 6-4. Eminence won 48-47 in their recent non-league game against Gainesville (Gainesville, MO)
