The Lamesa Tornadoes basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Stanton Buffaloes to 28 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Friday.

The Tornadoes now have a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Canadian for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Lamesa will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 58-50 non-league win over Clarendon (Clarendon, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Stanton falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Coahoma (Coahoma, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region I District 3 game on Friday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 5-7.
